Two ways of pricing

Rates and billing

Small jobs are billed by the hour. Complex projects receive an individual quote and are charged by project.

We currently do not charge VAT.

Complex projects — a project quote

For example, a bathroom, kitchen or full home renovation. Before work begins, we agree the scope, timing and total price in the quote. You pay for the project, not the hours worked.

The quote specifies which work, materials, visits and other costs are included. The hourly rates and time rounding below do not apply to project billing.

If the scope needs to change, we first agree any changes to the quote and schedule. Additional work starts only with your agreement.

We agree the number of workers and the scope in advance. Materials, moving transport, disposal and other separate services are not automatically included in the hourly rate. We discuss what is needed and its cost before you place the order.

How time is calculated for hourly work

A minimum of one hour is charged (CHF 85). After the first hour, time is rounded up in 15-minute steps at CHF 21.25 per step.

Hourly billing: one worker, one visit, CHF 50 travel charge. Excludes separately agreed materials and services.

2 h170220

These are examples of time-based billing, not prices for assembling a particular wardrobe or completing another specific task. Rounding does not remove the need to agree a budget increase.

Travel charges for hourly work

The base travel charge is CHF 50. It may differ for more distant addresses. Send us the address, and before booking we will state the full travel charge, including travel and parking.

The agreed travel charge covers travel and parking; these are not charged again as hourly work. If another visit is needed, we agree its cost and conditions separately.

With hourly billing and a CHF 50 travel charge, the minimum for one worker is CHF 135: the first hour plus travel. The total changes if a different travel charge is agreed.

If an on-site assessment is needed

An on-site assessment is a paid service at the same rates: a one-hour minimum, then each started 15-minute period, plus the agreed travel charge. We explain the cost and conditions before scheduling the visit.

An assessment of up to one hour with a CHF 50 travel charge costs CHF 135. It is payable even if you do not order further work.

If you decide to continue directly with hourly work after the assessment, we first agree the remaining tasks, time and budget. For one continuous visit, assessment and work time are added together, without charging the minimum hour or travel twice. If another visit is needed, we discuss its terms separately.

An on-site assessment before a quoted project is also charged at these rates. Its cost is listed separately from the project work.

Estimates for hourly work and extra costs

For hourly work, we make a preliminary estimate of time and cost from the description and photos. This is not a fixed price for completing all tasks: conditions that were not visible in the photos may become apparent on site.

If costs may increase, we explain why, suggest options and agree a new budget before additional work. We account for rounding up to 15 minutes. Until continuation is agreed, we pause the affected work and leave the area safe.

Materials and their cost are agreed separately before purchase. The calculation lists labor, travel and any agreed additional items.

Which prices apply

Before booking, we agree whether billing is hourly or by project. You receive the applicable rates and a time estimate, or a quote with the project price. A website price change does not change the terms of an already agreed order. Additional work is agreed separately.

This page explains the calculation. We agree the terms of your specific order with you before booking.
